HTC Teases New VR Headset on Twitter

HTC previewed what looks to be a new VR headset or hardware device on Twitter today. The caption reads “Now that the accessories are out of the way, let’s get down to business” and it shows what looks to be a strap or sensor of some kind.

As soon as we know more information, we will let everyone know. Fans on Twitter quickly jumped into the Twitter thread hoping for a proper standalone VR headset that would compete with the Oculus Quest 2. Or one that makes our best VR headsets list in the future.

Last month, the president of HTC China, Alvin Graylin, joined an online discussion based on virtual reality. He had this to say about a new VR headset from HTC this year:

“..our next generation of standalone, we’re going to have one this year, it’s going to be a great product, I can’t give any specs about it, but I think you’ll find it all the prospects that is better than what we have today, and is probably better than what there is today from any provider.
