Oculus Announces Gaming Showcase on April 21st With New Games

Oculus has announced an exclusive virtual event set for April 21st where new and upcoming games will be showcased for fans. The event can be streamed for free on TwitchFacebook, and YouTube USA (and Youtube Japan) at 3:00 pm PT.

The Oculus Game Showcase is dedicated to games. There will be new announcements and updates to fan-favorite titles. Oculus will be showing off some never-before-seen footage from unreleased games and promises a few surprises as well.

Some of the developers that Oculus says will be involved are:

  • Cloudhead Games – Pistol Whip
  • Ready at Dawn – Lone Echo II
  • ILMxLAB – Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge

Pistol Whip previously announced that it was working on a second story campaign as a follow up to 2089.

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge was released as a part one, with more content planned for the future.

Another rumor that could show up here is that Resident Evil 4 is coming to the Oculus platform in full virtual reality.

Otherwise, there are a bunch of upcoming Oculus Quest games which could make an appearance at the event.

Oculus Gaming Showcase has comparisons to Nintendo Direct, Nintendo’s gaming showcase held annually.
