RGB Vertical Stand Overview

As a big virtual reality user, I enjoy a good charging stand. It keeps your wires hidden and your headset off of your countertops. I’ve tried various Meta Quest stands for the original Quest, Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Quest 3.

I recently tried the new KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand for Meta Quest 3.

The RGB Stand is a specialized charging and display solution for Meta Oculus. It is advertised for the 3, but you could technically use it for any Meta model. Its primary function is to provide a convenient and organized way to charge your VR headset while adding a stylish touch to your gaming environment.

The stand features a magnetic USB Type-C connector for effortless charging, ensuring a secure connection without the hassle of tangled cables.

One of the features I like the most is the unique single-point-charging system. The feature allows simultaneous charging of your headset and compatible accessories, such as the SPC Battery Strap. The stand’s design incorporates 16 optional RGB lights, encircling the platform and creating a visually appealing gaming atmosphere.

Its neat-looking vertical design serves as a charging dock and a display stand for your headset and touch controllers. This helps maximize desk space and maintain an organized VR setup.

KIWI has obtained the “Made for Meta” designation to show that the RGB stand is certified and approved for the Quest 3.

Key Features

Vertical Design

The vertical design of the KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand is a game-changer for my Meta Quest 3 setup. It not only looks sleek and stylish but also minimizes the footprint on my desk. This design choice adds a touch of modernity to my gaming space, and the ease of simply placing my headset on the stand makes it an integral part of keeping things organized and visually appealing.

It’s a stylish solution that seamlessly integrates into the gaming environment.

Magnetic Charging

Charging my Meta Quest 3 has never been easier. The magnetic USB Type-C connector snaps into place effortlessly, eliminating the frustration of tangled cables.

This magnetic charging feature ensures a secure connection every time, and it has become a time-saving convenience in my daily VR routine.

Controller Holders

I really like how there are designated holders for my touch controllers. It’s a small but thoughtful addition that keeps my VR accessories organized and ready for action.

The Quest 3 controllers no longer have the tracking ring, which complicates the holder design for some. KIWI was chosen to tighten up the controller loops to ‘catch’ at the top of the grip and beneath the buttons.

All-Black Design

The all-black design of this stand adds a touch of sophistication to my VR display. It seamlessly blends with the aesthetics of my Meta Oculus Quest 3 headset, creating a visually cohesive and premium look.

Despite the Quest 3’s signature white color scheme, I think black was a good choice here. It is a more universal color for a gaming room.

16 RGB Lights

16 RGB lights surround the stand and can be controlled to set the mood with vibrant colors. It’s a dynamic feature that adds a layer of personalization to the charging stand and makes it stand out.

Unique Single-Point-Charging Ecosystem

The stand has a feature that Kiwi is calling SPC. Connecting my Meta Quest 3 with the SPC Battery Strap allows me to charge both the headset and the battery strap simultaneously. The KIWI design RGB Vertical Stand ensures that all essential accessories are powered up in one go, eliminating the need for separate charging sessions.

This feature is time-saving for extended VR sessions, providing a comprehensive and efficient power solution.

Easy Setup and Use

Setting up the RGB Vertical Stand was a breeze thanks to its modular design and push-to-fit assembly. Whether you’re tech-savvy or not, the easy setup process caters to users of all levels. The modular design provides flexibility in configuring the stand to suit individual needs without compromising stability.

It’s a user-friendly solution that enhances my VR setup without the headache of complex assembly.

What I Like About the RGB Vertical Stand

I like that the RGB Vertical Stand’s KIWI design seamlessly integrates into my Meta Oculus Quest 3 setup. The vertical design adds a modern and sleek aesthetic to my gaming space and maximizes desk space, allowing for a more organized and visually pleasing VR environment.

I also like that this product has a magnetic charging feature, making the charging process effortless and eliminating the frustration of tangled cables. This enhances user experience, ensuring my Meta Quest 3 is always ready for action.

The all-black design complements the premium look of my Meta Quest 3 headset and adds a touch of sophistication to the entire setup. The promise of one stand for all VR accessories has simplified my storage solution. Everything from controllers to straps has a designated spot on the stand, contributing to a clutter-free and organized VR setup.

Lastly, I really like the weight of this stand compared to others on the market. It weights X grams and is very sturdy.

What I Don’t Like About the Stand

There are two things I don’t like about the stand.

Firstly, the device’s height, standing over 18 inches tall, might be too bulky for some users. It dominates the desk space and, depending on your setup, could be challenging to accommodate seamlessly.

Secondly, the product’s premium quality comes with a hefty price tag. Considering its primary function is a charging cable on a stand, I feel the cost is expensive for most casual VR gamers.

While the sleek design and additional features are undoubtedly appealing, the price may deter budget-conscious consumers looking for a more economical charging solution.

Other Meta Quest 3 Stand Alternatives

If you are thinking about other alternatives to the KIWI Design stand, here are some other Meta Quest 3 charging stands I would recommend:

AMVR Stand Holder

The AMVR Stand Holder is a universal VR organizer, offering versatility for the Meta Quest 3, Quest 2, Quest, Rift S, Valve Index, and more. Its emphasis on stability with a round and enlarged base sets it apart, ensuring a secure hold for your VR headset and touch controllers. The buckle design facilitates a quick and easy assembly process, allowing you to set up your VR station in seconds.

AMVR’s solution has a diversified storage space, providing convenient options for Quest 3 and Quest 2 accessory storage. The bottom round tray is ideal for storing controllers, while the bracket hook accommodates controllers with handle covers, ensuring a tidy and organized desktop.

The AMVR Stand Holder boasts an aesthetic design, going beyond a mere functional accessory to become a stylish display, enhancing the overall look of your gaming space.

Meta Quest 3 Charging Dock

The Meta Quest 3 Charging Dock is the official charging solution explicitly designed for Meta Quest 3. It offers seamless compatibility and integration with the headset and Touch Plus Controllers. Its distinct feature is the compact design, emphasizing space efficiency while maintaining an official and sleek appearance.

The drop-in charging functionality ensures a hassle-free experience, allowing you to effortlessly place your headset and controllers for charging without complex setups.

An exclusive inclusion is the two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for Touch Plus Controllers. This gives you numerous charging cycles and the ability to monitor your controller battery levels directly within the headset.

The compact design efficiently charges your devices and doubles as a display, keeping your headset and controllers organized and within easy reach. This product also comes with LED lights, which indicate the charging status, giving you a visual cue for when your Meta Quest 3 accessories are fully charged and ready for use.

Final Thoughts

The KIWI Design RGB Vertical Stand is a stylish and functional accessory for Meta Quest 3 users. Its vertical design is visually appealing and space-efficient, making it a great addition to any gaming setup.

The magnetic USB Type-C charging is a standout feature, offering convenience and eliminating the hassle of tangled cables. Including designated holders for the touch controllers is a thoughtful touch, enhancing organization.

Standing over 18 inches tall, it may not fit comfortably in all spaces, and its premium price could be prohibitive for some. However, for those who can accommodate its size and cost, the stand offers an excellent combination of style, convenience, and organization for your VR gear.

Overall, the KIWI Design RGB Vertical Stand is an excellent choice for those seeking a high-quality, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing charging solution for their Meta Quest 3, despite its size and cost considerations.
