The market price of the Oculus Quest 2 is $300 for 64 GB and $400 for 128 GB. Meanwhile, the price of the HP Reverb G2 currently stands at $600.
For most people, the savings of $200 or $300 is a big advantage for the Oculus Quest 2. In addition, the Reverb G2 requires an attached gaming PC in order to play games. At the minimum, a gaming PC is another $600, but can go up to another $3,000.
Displays And Resolution
The Oculus Quest 2 contains a single panel LCD screen at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Meanwhile, the HP Reverb G2 features dual LCD RGB displays at the same refresh rate as the Quest 2.
The resolution on the Quest 2 is 1832 x 1920 per eye, while it is 2160 x 2160 per eye on the Reverb G2.

IPD is an acronym for inter-pupillary distance. It is the distance between the center of your two eyes. Depending on the shape of your face, you may adjust the headset’s IPD to suit your face.
